Acrobat Reader is required for reading 'Getting Started'.

It is possible to test all features of GetARef 6.0 using the demo version.

Note that the format files suitable for various journals that can be downloaded (or 'requested') from www.authorinstructions.com were designed for GetARef 6.0.

The Demo Version has, however, a number of limitations that do not apply to the normal production version:

File names

• Except for the example files the demo version can only open and create reference files with names such as DEMO1.REF, DEMO2.REF, etc.

• It is not possible to save edited text if the reference file contains more than 90 references.

• Only the first 10 references are included in reference lists that are created in document files or printed.
• Only the first 15 references are included in reference lists of manuscripts.

• Except for dump files of the format called Import format from RIS and special types of bibliographies, only the first 10 records of dump files are imported.
  
  Even with the demo version it is thus possible for most users of other types of reference handling systems to test GetARef with their own reference data.

In addition to the above listed limitations there may for development reasons exist minor differences between the current production version and the demo version (the production version typically contains more features than the demo version).
