Bug fix:
The ISSN number uniquely identifies journal names and can therefore be used
to disambiguate journals names (for instance, 'Gastroenterology'). GetARef,
however, ignored the ISSN when formatting references. |

Bug fix:
Since version 6.000.011, GetARef has not saved formatted text correctly
(i.e., text with any other format than 'normal') from the dialog used for
editing and adding references. |

Bug fix
#1: When GetARef was closed, Windows rarely fired an explosion of error
messages. Although no formal error has been found, the code has been
re-arranged and this 'error problem' appears to have vanished.
Bug fix
#2: References may contain more than 16.000 characters but for large
references, GetARef did not always display the abstract correctly. This has
now been fixed.
Bug fix #3: 'Enhancement #1' dated January 30 (6.000.011) was a bit
overzealous and could remove also appropriate character combinations (such
as '.,'). |

Enhancement #1: GetARef now automatically corrects obvious errors in
formatted references (such as double comma characters or spaces
before full stop). Unless special care is taken when creating format
files, sometimes the resulting output may include unwanted spaces.
Enhancement #2: When handling text with a mixture of ANSI and
Shift-JIS characters (Japanese characters), the edit dialog did not always
handle formatting directives correctly.
Bug fix: GetARef can check if there are program updates available
(command Tools|Check Web for update; compare Internet tab of
Tools|Customize GetARef...). If updates are available then a special
dialog appears and when its button Download is clicked the
appropriate web page is opened; the name of this page has now been
corrected. |

Adjustment: GetARef has been adapted to recently introduced modified
download formats of references in preview and complete format from PubMed.
Bug fix: GetARef inappropriately closed if the path of a document was
'too' long when the used clicked the button Open document file after
completing a document (an 'OUT' file). |

Enhancement: Improved handling of the dialog for adding and editing
references (in particular, better handling of missing journals and avoiding
inappropriate formatting of specific input fields such as the publication
year).
Bug fix: If all characters in a field had the same non-standard
format (e.g., all bold or all Greek characters), GetARef ignored the
formatting. |

Enhancement: Once the dialog Tools|Import from PubMed is
closed, the last imported reference is displayed if the target reference
file is open.
Bug fix #1: The help hint text describing the formal status of individual
references was not always correct when the display order was not 'original'.
Bug fix #2: When displaying 'tagged only' references, the list display was
not always changed to 'display all' even if all tagging was elminated by a
search expression. |
