Information primarly for users of Version 4.0:

With the exception for the transition from GetARef 3.2 to 4.0, the improvements in GetARef has been made available to registered users for free. This has been the case also with GetARef 4.0. Accordingly, the latest release of GetARef's main program (version 4.000.039) and import routines (version 4.000.029) is fairly close to GetARef 5.0 with respect to functionality.

Yet, the accumulated enhancements in GetARef 4.0 together with the enhancements described below warrants a new version number.

Continuity

  • Reference files and format file created with GetARef 4.0 and GetARef 5.0 can be used without modifications.
  • Edited or added journal name definitions in the journal name databases of GetARef 4.0 and 5.0 can easily be imported to GetARef 5.1.
